Mr. David Garcia is the Clinical Director of Behavior Analysis, Inc. He earned his Master of Science degree in Behavior Analysis from the University of North Texas in 1996 and is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. He is currently in the doctoral program in Special Education at Florida Atlantic University. David has published several studies related to problem behaviors and persons with disabilities and has served as a guest reviewer for the Journal of Applied Behavior Analysis. Recently, he was selected as the Outstanding Clinician of the year by the University of Miami/Nova Southeastern University Center for Autism and Related Disabilities.
David has been an active member of the International Association for Behavior Analysis for over 12 years. He has worked with a variety of populations including children and adults with autism, mental retardation, dual diagnoses, typically developing adolescents, and individuals with criminal histories. In addition, he has worked in numerous settings such as private homes, schools, adult workshops, group homes, developmental centers, and secured facilities for individuals with active legal charges.
David has also conducted numerous training
workshops for parents and professionals throughout the United States,
Puerto Rico and Jamaica. His areas of specialization include (a) the
analysis of verbal behavior, (b) curriculum development, (c)
parent/teacher training for children with autism and related
disabilities and (d) analysis and treatment of problem behaviors.
