Bio
Vanessa Seron has a solid background in social services. She graduated magna cum laude from University of Florida, where she earned her Bachelors degree in Psychology in 1999. She later received her Masters degree in Social Work from Florida International University. Vanessa Seron completed her clinical internship at the University of South Florida's Behavior Analysis Services program which sparked her interest to become a Board Certified Associate Behavior Analyst. In this time, she received extensive training on preventive and clinical interventions that enhance human functioning and quality of life focusing on the transactions between people and their environments that affect their ability to accomplish life tasks, alleviate distress, and realize individual and collective goals. She is currently working towards becoming a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and plans to sit for the Board Certified Behavior Analyst Examination this fall. Vanessa has extensive experience working with diverse populations across a range of settings, including at home, in school, in addition to other various settings. She is currently responsible for providing ABA/VBA programs for children, conducting functional behavior assessments (FBAs), parent training, and teacher and staff training, focusing most of her clinical work in the field of child welfare, helping foster care children with challenging behaviors find their path to self-sufficiency. In addition, Vanessa has recently become quite active in fundraising for national organizations that serve individuals on the spectrum as well as increasing awareness in her community. In her spare time, she enjoys music, movies, volunteering, and spending time with her family and friends. Ms. Seron is a bilingual clinician who speaks fluent Spanish and English.
