This is the web site for ADI, a non-profit organization dedicated to
dissemination of information on effective, research-proven practices
for schools. It's simply the best. Join.

- Baltimore Curriculum Project. A school combining Direct Instruction with Core Knowledge , in, you guessed it, Baltimore, Maryland.
- Behavior Home Page.
This site is designed to provide allow school personnel, parents, and

ERIC is a national information system with a database containing more
than 1,000,000 abstracts of documents and journal articles on education
research and practice.
- Effective Mathematics Instruction. A comparison of the effects of various mathematics programs on students' mathematics performance.
- Effective School Practices - Volume 15, Number 1 (1995-96).
Effective School Practices is published quarterly by the Association
for Direct Instruction. The mission of the Association for Direct
Instruction is to promote the improvement of educational methods.

Great Leaps Reading uses sound, proven instructional tactics coupled

I Can Read is an exciting new after-school reading program for children

- Materials to Guide Middle School Implementation. A bunch of materials from Bonnie Grossen related to effective education.
- Math Practice Sheets for Fluency. Red Sarna's free exercise sheets for help with mathematics.
- Morningside Academy. This is the web site for the Morningside Academy.

laments that fact that Direct Instruction, although found to be the
most effective teaching method, has not been widely adopted.
- Practice Mill. An authoring system to create and edit questions and create exams, practice sheets, flashcards - including SAFMEDS
- Programmed Instruction Tutorial. An online tutorial that teaches about Programmed Instruction.
- Reading Mastery Research Base.
Dr. Bonnie Grossen discusses the large research base of Reading
Mastery, which distinguishes it from all other currently available
commercially developed reading programs.
- Schoolhouse Technologies. A nice site that has software to create worksheets to assist in gaining fluency. They have some free stuff!
- Sopris West.
Sopris West is dedicated to helping education professionals and parents
better meet the needs of students who are "at risk for school failure."

- SRA Direct Instruction. This is the SRA/McGraw-Hill site where DI materials can be purchased. Lots of good info!
- Standard Celeration Society Archives. This is a searchable archive related to celeration, the standard chart, and precision teaching.
- Teach Your Child to Read in 100 Easy Lessons. Visit this site to purchase the outstanding book.
- Teaching Effectiveness Program.
This program, at the University of Oregon, work educators to improve
their teaching skills. The site contains a bunch of good
information.
- What the data really show: "Old fashioned" teaching works! A nice article describing effective instruction.
- What does it mean to be a research-based profession? An excellent paper by Bonnie Grossen.
