Description: This is a part-time position teaching language and academic skills to children with autism using the methods of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). We provide extensive training and supervision to ensure competence.

Responsibilities: Primary job duties include (all of the following activities are completed under the direction and supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and may require travel):

    • Implementing language and academic programs
    • Collecting individual progress data
    • Maintaining program books
    • Creating teaching materials
    • Discussing session progress with parents

Locations: Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; Miami, Florida and Boca Raton, Florida.

Minimum Qualifications: The preferred candidate will have (a) at least two years of college, (b) experience working with children, (c) effective oral and written communication skills, and (d) outstanding social skills. Special consideration will be given to persons with prior experience working with children with autism, who have completed college-level behavior analysis coursework and/or who speak fluent Spanish.

Center-Based Schedule: The candidate must be available Monday through Friday to work at least one of the following time slots (must work same exact time slot every day):

     • 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.
     • 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
     • 12:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.
     • 2:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.
     • 4:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.

Community-Based Schedule. There are no set time slots for home- and school-based therapy; however the candidate must be available for at least two hours every day Monday through Friday (preference given to four hours or more daily) and must be available at the same time(s) every day Monday through Friday. If  you do not meet this requirement, please do not apply.

Starting Salary Range: Varies according to experience and education.
